Estel was born in Terrassa (Barcelona region, Catalonia), has a PhD in Science by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (ES) and is a researcher at the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia and at the Institute of Space Sciences of CSIC. She works in projects that aim at improving the observation of the Earth from space to better understand climate phenomena, devising new ways to do so. We are linked by family and friendship ties and I have always admire her tenacity in embarking and achieving the most courageous adventures both in the professional and personal fields, doing so with great passion an amazing creativity.
