She is the first female scientist I remember having heard about. She is a Catalan oceanographer, biologist and writer, who participated in the Organization of Research in Antarctica. When I learned about her works I was caught by her talent, passion and by her optimistic personality. Also, the fact of being Catalan, made that I see her as a “real” role-model. Although I didn’t followed a scientific track, her passion in what she was doing, really inspired me.
