Anna Sanpera is one of the world leaders of AMO Physics and Quantum Information. She graduated in Barcelona, was a postdoc in Rochester, Oxford, CEA Saclay and Hannover, habilitated there in 2003, and become ICREA professor at UAB in 2005. Her interests range from strong fields, through quantum optics, to quantum simulators and quantum information theory and quantum many body physics. According to Goole Scholar she has 16000 citations, h-index 47. She is a mother of 3 kids, all of whom study in Barcelona area. Anna teaches in Photonic and Quantum Master, and Quantum Technologies postgrad. Wonderful person and colleague.
