Maryam Mirzakhani was an Iranian mathematician and a professor at Stanford University. She was the first woman who was awarded the Fields Medal (equivalent to Nobel prize in Mathematics). She was a true role model for all Iranian young scientists and even students in high schools, especially for women. After her death in 2017, because of her legacy and impact, several newspapers in Iran broke taboo and published her photo without hijab.
