Mildred Dresselhaus
The one and only «Queen of carbon». Mille was a world-leading nanotechnology expert and had major scientific contributions in physics and engineering. She was the first female MIT Professor, and the first or second female recipient of multiple prizes, such as the IEEE Medal of Honor, Enrico Fermi Award, US National Medal of Science in Engineering, and the Vannevar Bush Award. She is also part of the US National Inventors Hall of Fame. She is an inspiring figure.
